Hello everyone!

I'm not sure how to go about this, but here goes...

I believe that my approach/openers are strong. I feel comfortable talking to anyone, anywhere, and at anytime. While I have a few canned openers, my best approaches have come off totally spontaneous thoughts/remarks that are indirect/aloof...often these become canned openers for later. I can usually number close in any situation (except maybe moving targets...I'm not a pro, by any means), and even kiss close at the bar, but I find that once I meet a quality girl that I'd actually enjoying dating on a more serious basis, I constantly fall into the "let's just be friends" trap....no matter how fun/exciting I think the date was.

Once you fall into the friends trap, especially if you've only met the person a few weeks ago...is it possible to break it? What's a good strategy? Just recently, I number closed a girl on a hike; kiss-closed her on our second day; only to have her call me the next day and tell me that she wanted to be friends. Maybe I'm oblivious, but she gave me no indications on our initial date that she wasn't interested (plenty of IOIs including laughing at unfunny jokes, squeezing back when I held her hand, among others)....and the kissing was great. She even remarked "You're making me hot".

Unfortunately, this isn't an isolated incident. It constantly happens.

What am I doing wrong? What should I be looking out for? Please help!
