From my experience, if you make out with a girl in a club then get her number, she will always flake. It's a mistake I made in my earlier days when I wasn't confident enough to suggest us going home together. Like Saiko said, it's buyers remorse - if you aren't confident that you're gonna get her home, don't kiss her if you're planning to meet her again. In her mind, you'll just be "that guy I made out with" and because of that she'll think (know) that you're only after one thing. With this in mind, why would she risk meeting up with you again? Imagine what her friends would think if they knew she made out with some guy and decided to meet up with him a few days later... they'd think she was a slut. You need to put yourself in her shoes to fully understand this.

Saiko and Dalziel both gave good advise. TMM says how he doesn't try and f close after going to the club. He takes her out sometime that week and builds 7 hours of comfort before trying to f close.
