Ok long story short I was at this get together got this girl's number and then I texted her a few hours later, made some joke at the get together and brought it back so she knew it was me without me saying who I am. She texted back a bit later saying LOL, and i didn't text her again (it's been like a day), so I don't know where to go from there. Like I never randomly call a girl up to talk unless I know the girl very well.

Any Advice on what to do next time or with this one?

You should set up a Day 2. Do it over the phone, not by text. Remember to get her back into the mindset that she was in when you met her by briefly linking something to something you talked about before, especially if you talked about anything in future tense and can tell her how it went, or that it's coming up.

Dont wait around too long before giving her a call, chances are after a few days shes going to forget your interaction. As Ryan said Ring her up and start from where you left off and arrange a day 2 :wink:

Thanks, there's a problem though, she's gone for two months (school's out and she's going on vacation) I talked for the first time to her a few days ago on MSN and I have her on facebook, but I might be in the LJBF zone if I just talk to her on MSN for two months. Obviously I'm not going to "wait" for her but still.

So then don't worry about her till she gets back. If you see her on msn once in a while you can ask her how things are, but don't make a habit of it, or you will end up in LJBF. If you're still interested when she gets back, arrange a Day 2 where you can hang out and talk about what happened over summer while doing some fun activity together.
