Wait until tomorrow if in person and Wednesday if it has to be by phone. Any later than that and she's likely to have plans. That way it's a few days and it's always better to ask her in person that over the phone. You're more likely to get the answer you want to hear. Anyways, I would simply ask her by saying, "I'm going to one of my favorite places at xxxx on Friday, you should come tag along."
This way it shows you have a life and it's something you do anyways. That way if she says No you can still say, "Well no problem I always have fun there."
