I have two things to mention in reference to the cube.

-dont use it
-if you really want to understand it search, i have seen other posts about it.

Generally i do not tell people to search and try to answer their questions, but the truth is i never bothered to learn the cube and only have an elementry understanding of it. I have focused on other less exposed cold readings instead. The cube may be ok to get you comfortable with gambits/routines, however the chances of you getting blown out of a set is much better using a canned and very popular gambit like this.

Hope this helps

I disagree with Ka. I think that you should definitely learn it and use it in field. No one has ever told me they've heard of it before. You have way more to gain than to lose with this routine. If all goes well you will build immense rapport, learn more about them, and your knowledge will come off as a DHV. If they do call you out on it then just say, "I can't believe you've heard of it; my last girlfriend who was big on astrology taught me this and I have found it fascinating ever since. What color cube did you have?" or something else along those lines- it is easy to rebound from it. As for the colors and meanings, I think they have it stickied here under the routines section, so look there. If you want even more, search on google and you will find more in depth analysis on the meanings than you could ever want/remember.

Just the fact that you can google it alone, should keep you from regualrly using it.

For instance in place of the cube i use 4 questions or strawberry feilds. They are way less popular, and do the same exact thing as the cube.

I mean like i said it may have some usefulness at the beginning but dont bank on it. Per Soma's response, if you respond that you leanred it from someone, and the person calling you on it then asks if you read The Game (remember that most attractive women are not alone and will often times be in mixed sets), then you are even more stuck. This will cause you to lose your frame. If you admitt to having read The Game (or seen the PU artist on VH1), which is part of my counter routine to this, then you will further sink youself.

Personally it may be helpful for you to learn it and use it on ocasion, but i would recomend learning other, less popular cold reading techniques. This will grant you the same outcome as if the cube had worked, and less of a chance to be backed into a corner and blown out of a set.

Hope this helps

The Cube was actually a book before Style started to use it as a routine. If you do a search on Amazon or Barnes and Noble you will find it with quotes by men and women who have used it to get to know people better. You could say that you read it in this book and thought it was an interesting way to meet people. This way you can avoid the whole read it in The Game scenario if it is brought up.

My two cents. If a girl insists that you have either read it in The Game or watched it on VH1, then you can easily come back with, "glad to know you're well read", or "glad to know you're up on popular culture", after either of these I would add, "I like that in a girl." Then SNIP the thread and start something different.

she-say-have-you-read-the-game--vt10845.html

Alot of good counters in this post to how you handle being called out on reading the book.

I have decided to prepare myself for dealing with both the book and the show (VH1 the pickup artist) with a few responses.

For the book id probably go with 3hands response in the link i gave. How i have read it, it was a great STORY, and they should check it out. (i like this because your acting like its no big deal, its just a cool story anyone could like.) Truth is i realize now that The Game really isnt a how too or anything it just wakes AFC's up to the idea that they can control their social destiny's.

As for the show i couldnt find the post with the evidence but its really irrelavant...the show wasnt 100% legit. I plan on just playing that off.

HB: "So you've seen that VH1 show The PUA?" (or any version that puts you on the spot for seeing it)

YOU: "Of course, pretty intresting show but soo not credible. Did you know all the guys on it were actors?

HB: "blah blah...skeptical...blah blah."

YOU: "Really i saw this video on Youtube about the winner and how he had acted in some latin drama/soap's and was in some music videos and stuff before he went on the PUA."

HB:"blah"

YOU: "Yea its actually kind of sad that some people beleive everything they see on TV. Like you could actually teach someone how to pickup women. haha"

And thats about it, you create credible doubt about the validity of the show, neg them for beleiveing what they saw on tv, and even discredit what we know is true.

The idea when handleing either confrintation is to not act like you are hiding something. Sure i read/watched it, but you know what people are putting more weight into the book/show then they deserve. Thats your frame, make it seem like its nothing, brush it off...even discredit them.

Hope this helps.

here is a good explanation of the cube game.
the-cube-vt1509.html
its just a gambit to build comfort with the hb10 and maybe even get a little bit of insight about them. It is NOT an opener, its one of the techniques you use after you've opened. If you are a noob, go with something less popular because you have more chances of panicking in the situation that somebody calls you out on it. An experienced pua might have the ability to come up with something quick, but better to avoid a situation with a solution that is just as easy.

*if anyone more experienced would like to correct me, then feel free to. I just didn't see any answers to his original question :)*

Now that's something that's VERY important to realize. Yes, the more experienced you are, the more it really DOESN'T MATTER what you say, because you will be able to calibrate much easier on the spot. But, for the new guys, you NEED to have simple things to start with. And ways to deal with the phases of PU.

And that's one reason I gave the quick/easy response on this thread that I did. Now, I'm NOT saying the other responses aren't good, but the one I gave I believe is easy to remember, so that if you DO get called out for being a "PUA", then you have a way to counter it.
