Let's say I was having conversation with a girl at like a coffee shop, and we talked and we ran out of stuff to say, and I just sat there and looked at her not caring about the weirded out vibe, just staying very chilled and relax. I was talking to my friend about this and he said it's actually better if you don't say anything cause then if you say something just to keep the conversation going you're entertaining her DLVing yourself. It's in any situation whether it's with a group of friends or a group of girls. You say things and do things that you find self amusing, not to do it for the sake of entertaining people because you will be seen as a guy that wants attention and just this entertainer that people can take advantage of.

On a first encounter energy has too be kept high, if you cool off and just chill and stare into space, she'll feel disengaged and blow you off. (later on that sorta thing is fine though).

And staring at her will just freak her out unless you're doing it flirtatiously.
