Hey, I'm very new to this community and am a complete noob. My problem is approaching the girl to actually start conversation.

I'm actually a fairly outgoing person, so I wouldn't say it's AA or social shyness, yet I haven't approached someone to say something, even though i've wanted to.

For example, today on the train, I saw someone that actually looked familiar (HB7), and I could have easily just started out with that. And later on I saw an HB6-7 take the same bus as me, get off the same stop, get on another bus i was getting on, and again get off the same stop. I could have just said something along the lines of "You could have introduced yourself instead of following me everywhere".

But although I sometimes think of an opener, but I never am able to say something. Any possibilities of what it could be that's stopping me? And any advice on getting over it?

Do you think your special or different from any other rAFC ? ITS AA!!! Go to the shopping mall and pretend your looking to buy stuff and start talking to the chicks that work in the stores. Progress on to ugly chicks from there then to the HBs..... I found this has worked for me.

If you can't figure out some clever line my suggestion would just be to say "Hi." At first don't worry about openers or witty retorts, just work on smiling and saying hello. Start at the beginning.
