| Hey guys, hoping to get some opinions on the next step with this one. Cold-approached a HB8 (probly treated like a HB9-9.5 most of her life) a little over a week ago, on my university campus. Used DeAngelo's time-constrained method whereby one should casually talk to the girl, and after 3-4 minutes abruptly end the conversation and ask for e-mail. She was pleasant, didn't act overly interested, but still gave her e-mail without any resistance.
It was late in the week, so I didn't send an e-mail until after the weekend, again sticking to DeAngelo's style (cup of something wonderful blah blah). No response after 3 days or so, so I sent another e-mail (again with DeAngelo, "Playing hard to get already? Nice. Talk to me."). A day after the second e-mail, she responds to the first (interestingly enough):

Hi,
I've been really busy with school lately, and haven't reallly had time to write back. I am actually really busy with studying this week; I have tests coming up, which won't end until June 20th, so maybe after that.

She seems to be playing hard to get, and is likely used to guys always chasing her. From our initial conversation, I know that she loves the idea of working downtown, and is probably getting sick of school at this point. Me, I am a engineering PhD candidate doing quite well for myself. Although my work is primarily on campus, I can easily feign that I conduct business downtown sometimes. I also own a nice house in the downtown core.
As it's been 4 days already since her e-mail, I plan to write her back soon. I'm just wondering what to write, as I'm not sure how to respond in this situation. She doesn't leave me much to reply to, and I'm wondering what I should talk about, i.e. should I say I'll get in touch with her again after the 20th, or just leave it open ended (e.g, "see you around"), or something completely different? Also, even though it's e-mail, should I try and include some DHV's in there (e.g "I'm surprised I haven't seen you around campus much since we last met. But then again I've been conducting a lot of business downtown lately", or "getting sick of school yet? I was, until they start paying me all kinds of grants to do what I want").
Any thoughts? tia
