So I went to the mall today and made it a goal while there to make sure that all eye contact with passing women would be held and any contact inside the stores I was shopping at would be with the cutest girl there and that i would remain confident while speaking to them...since I'm just now starting to work on this aspect of my life, I was not out to close in any manner or converse with women at the mall...I did not get nervous once surprisingly

first store was Journeyz - I spotted the hottest girl employee there and noticed she was holding eye contact with me...so i walked directly up to and noticed that the expression on her face looked excited as I approached and asked her how she was doing and if they had Sketchers (hey i was there to shop not to pick women up) she fumbled with her words and finally she answered my question.

second store was Jimmyz - when I went to check out a couple shirts I had picked out, an unattractive woman told me she would check me out...she was also holding eye contact and generally looked happy. Another guy employee, who had helped me find the shirts I wanted went to the counter and said he would check me out...so I replied with haha so who is going to check me out since apparently you both want to so badly! The girl started laughing but I was closer to the dudes counter so i just let him cashier and then left.

last store was sephora to pick up some new cologne (i kinda collect different scents) - I saw a cute punkish girl probably an HB7.5 standing there...she greeted me as I entered and I asked her where the men's cologne was. She directed me there and I shopped around for a bit. I then noticed that she had returned and was hovering around me pretending to do work. At this point I had a different scent sprayed on each wrist So i turned around to where she was approximately 2 feet away from me and said "I need your opinion on something...right now i have a different cologne sprayed on each wrist (she laughs and agrees) I want you to smell each one and tell me which one you prefer" (yes i know it's from "The Game") She smelled both and apparently one of them was her "OMG THATS MY FAVORITE SCENT IN THE WORLD" cologne so I told her that i had already decided I was going to buy that cologne and that apparently she has good taste (I dont know why but this illicited a laugh from her as well) Since I was not after a number or anything I told her thank you and went to the counter to check out....and guess who shows up at the counter?? yes She did to check me out...

all in all...im a newbie and I was just intrigued at how working on my inner game and confidence is causing me to get what i want and altering the way others view and act around me...TONS of girls were having eye contact with me including those with boyfriends and most of them would look away and smile after a couple of seconds....

WELL just thought I'd share my newbie experience with you all and I will continue to post here as I continue to scrounge up all the PUA info I can! thanks!

Sweet man, I've been trying to hold eye contact for longer lately, but I don't want to go overboard with it and stare them down, you know?

Tips?

I think if you are walking through a bar/mall and you hold eye contact as you are walking by it does give the impression of staring.

Often if I am walking in a bar with a smile on my face and hold eye contact with a girl, they will hold back for awhile and it feels like they give the impression that they just want to be opened.

It's pretty interesting.

So, if you are just walking by, eye contact can only be held for so long...
Just don't turn your head 180 degrees as you walk by.

lol it's all part of a pyramid process....you can't smile at a girl if you cant hold eye contact...if i can hold eye contact with women then I will be able to smile at them and then later on maybe say hi...etc....

also...less dominant people ALWAYS yield to more dominant people when eye contact occurs. when i used to have ZERO self confidence I would ALWAYS be the one to break eye contact and I felt awkward about it...I dont think they felt awkward for me breaking eye contact with them...

I read about an exercise to work on your confidence. it went something like this. If there is a bus stop or another place where many people WILL be gathered on your way each day. Make it an effort to walk by and hold eye contact with anybody (including other males) who eye contacts you...You will notice the people with lesser dominance will ALWAYS look away first. By doing so you are building your self confidence/value to above others by breaking bad habits of YIELDING to others...lemme know what u think!

I saw this DdA vid about eye contact and how holding EC, breaking and then glancing back can also adjust social statuses.

It was basically how about the less dominant (Lower social status) person will often break the EC and then glance back very quickly. I'm sure everyone can think of times when they've done this, and realise in retrospect it does lower the status/dominance of you.

This sounds good, but I think you could do this anywhere.

I'm gonna build this aspect this week. My semester is starting tomorrow, I'll be there all day four days a week. Check on my thread [the plan] if you want to help me out more! :)

haha...on that punk rock chick...I would've went with the opposite cologne.

"I like this one"

"Ok...I guess I'm ready to check out"

then put the one she chose away, and take the one she didn't lol

I have the problem of holding eye contact for to long. I think it's less to do with alpha signs and more to do with genetics. I've always held eye contact maybe longer then I should and so do all four of my sisters. People say that's how they know we are related.

I don't think you should put such a high priority on eye contact. Just don't be nervous. Lack of eye contact CAN be a sign of nervousness but not necessarily. It's the rapid shifty eyes that's the real sign of nervousness. It's ok if your eyes wonder around the room just make sure it looks like it's in slow motion.

If you make eye contact for a good couple of seconds but then rapidly look some where else, then you will look nervous. If you feel uncomfortable with eye contact it's ok; just act like something else is more interesting to look at then her, and look away but do it SLOWLY.

Of course in seduction and comfort phase eye contact is a must.

Eye contact is crucial. Holding eye contact for too long is far better than not holding it long enough.

When you do look away after holding it, make sure you blink very slowly while changing what you're looking at. It's very seductive. If you relax your eyes like Marlyn Monroe, they themselves become a weapon for your pick-up arsenal. Study her pictures/video and try copying it. You should look borderline high on drugs. Very relaxed.
