You say something like "I need an opinion on something" to start. Don't say "Can I get an opinion on something" because that implies that they can say no to you. Tell them a story about your friend talking to an ex of his, and his girlfriend doesn't like it. Does she have a right to be angry? Etc, continue conversing.

As for negs, throw them in as early as you want. You can even open with a neg; "is that your real hair or a wig?" haha. Another good one is "I like that shirt, I saw another girl wearing it a second ago".

Do whatever dude, there's no SET method, but all of it works.
