Long story short I was at a coffee shop tonight not expecting to meet anyone or pickup, as I'm always in coffee shops and never meet women. I'm reading the paper and notice an attractive (HB8?) girl sitting at the other end looking over and even smiling. This stuff never happens to me. I consider myself fairly good looking, but again this stuff never happens to me. So like a moron I look behind to see if any one else is there; there isn't so I try smiling back. The store starts to close up so I get up to leave and notice her standing too and still firing a few little smiles, so I let my testicles drop and walk over to introduce myself. I have no game and asked if she wanted to have coffee (while the shop was closing) she replied that she was actually on her way to meet up with another friend at that point. I countered saying I think that came out wrong on my part and what I meant was would you like to have coffee in general some time. She says that she just got out of a relationship and this is as we're both walking out the door. So at this point I'm really confused because why the smiling if she's not interested? I figure I have nothing to lose so I start to tell her how I normally see hot women like her but never take the chance and usually regret it for the rest of the day. That I finally thought I should try and hence why I'm talking to her. At this point she voluntarily gives me her phone number (wtf) and says we should do coffee sometime. I dial it into my phone so that she can have my number too, say it was nice meeting her and we part ways.

What was that all about? At first she smiles, then when I go over there she puts up barriers, and finally as I'm explaining myself she gives me her number? Do you guys think I should even bother calling her? I'm sorry for such a long post but stuff like this never happens and I'd really appreciate your thoughts.

Alright so it sounds like she was a little confused about everything. It was good that you approached her. I think she was hesitant at first because you showed a lot of interest. But then you disqualifed a little when you said "I didn't mean right now just in general". And then when you explained that you always have HBs smiling at you it DHVed and Social Proofed you so she decided to take a chance and give you her number.

I would call it and see what happens. If she flakes, then no big deal you'll go out and find someone else. If she ends up meeting up with you again then use her as practice. Maybe something good will come out of it!
