I have to pose this question. In my life I have gotten this a lot and I can't figure it out. I've encountered it more and more in the past year.

A lot of times when I #-close a girl, I call her a few days later. I talk to her for a few minutes then I try to set up a date with her. Usually if the girl picks up, I find that she will agree on a date (coffee or something like that). I find that once the day of the date rolls around they usually flake out. I'll get a text several hours before saying something like I don't think I can make it or whatever.

Is this a shit test or is it because I am not building enough comfort, attraction or whatever in the first encounter? Someone I know told me that next time it happens I should pretend that I forgot all about the date and that I don't care whether or not she cancels now.

What is the general opinion on this site about this tactic? I get the impression that cosmo or one of those crappy magazines tell girls to do this. So I lean towards a shit test.

You can't ask what causes a woman to flake and expect guys to chose one or the other - depending on the situation it could be either one.
