I know a guy that says he gets Women by going to a bar dressed in leather, buying himself a drink, watching the TV and talking to the bartender while ignoring the Women. He says chicks start going up to him and ask if he's waiting for someone or anything like that. He says this works because chicks hate to not be the center of attention and will be attracted to the one guy who is not trying to pick them up unlike the rest of the losers in the bar. He comes off as mysterious and not desperate.
What is your take on this?

Mysterious is good, desperate is bad.

I sometimes do this minus the leather. But i have girls that order drinks around me start conversatons about my rings or painted nails. I become a bit more proactive. when a girl comes around i dont say much to her, but after she orders a drink i might open her with something she is wearing...a bracelet or ring and go into a dhv story. It helps that i know the bartender so i can actually have a conversation with him and not make it look like im a loser. As long as you look confident and are not try hard you can pull it off. Just have a unique look and a solid frame to work from.
