Just wanted to ask if there is some specific term/acronym for everything related to those situations where you bring back a girl to her building door as a friend and it's this moment where it's not clear whether you'll just leave eachother as friends or make a move and go up with her.

Of course, this assumes you haven't clarified things or escalated earlier.

I'm just interested in reading some stuff about that specific situation and would like to know if specific terms exist to describe it, so I can research.

It's called a "Hail Mary". Basically, a desperate attempt at the last minute to pull off the impossible.

If you're going to take a girl out on the date, then make sure that it's a date and not two friends getting together. If you say that there was no way to escalate during the date...then that's your fault because you put yourself in the position of not being able to escalate. Fix the problem at the source so you're not looking for a way to salvage things at the end.
