this this seem like a general basic social skills. go outside and hang around humans more or watch tv shoes ppl interacting with other ppl.

plus if she's carrying the conversation, just sit back and enjoy the ride

I'm going to be completely honest. I don't beat around the bush when something is boring me. I just pretty much say "hey listen, I don't really want to talk about this, it's not really getting my interest" and then I change the subject
