whats up? i was wondering if someone might offer me some advice? i'm on an online community called mixi. its like a japanese version of myspace. at any rate, i somewhat frequently get mails from random girls, just cause i'm foreign and living in japan. i'm trying to figure out the best way to respond to the standard first email, which usually goes something like this:

girl:
nice to meet you. i want to make new friends. i'm looking forward to getting to know you. please write me.

what would be a good way to respond to this? any ideas?
i was thinking it might be a good idea to make them qualify themselves in some way.
