This has been bothering me lately in campus so I decided to ask you guys.
Does the 3-second rule apply with people you have done eye contact at least 2-3 times a day? I haven't understood that lately especially after i saw "mystery and discovery talk next level of game:OSCA". where Discovery talks about the 3-second rule and why you should follow it, but when i am at campus and see these girls that i have seen hundreds of times before and just then i want to approach them, i allways ask myself :does the 3-second rule apply to them? Or does it have to be the first time you see them, and if so is there anything else i should follow or could i just approach them with an opener and it will be like any other night at a club? I would appreciate some answers and other tips (if you have any) on how to approach girls in campus that you already have seen and made eye contact with or even asked her if you can borrow a pen before.

The point of the "3second rule" is to not give you time to hesitate. It's meant to simplify things and it certainly is not meant for having topics that complicate it further created.

Yes it applies on campus too. If club is the ocean, campus is a pond of fish. Will it make any difference in the way you catch the fish? (sorry made it up myself but I hope it conveys the message)

Applies anywhere, most rules are universal and hold multiple purposes

the reason you give yourself 3 seconds is to
-1 know your confident enough to interact with a girl you have only just seen for a slight second
-2 Know you hesitated for way to long, may seem as a Creep initiating after awkward eye-contact for example five minutes.
