I don't think many girls really mind if you have a grillfriend... burgers all around.

A wife on the other hand, well... "Oh yeah, did I mention that I have a wife" should do it. Although that might cause a few problems and leave you wayyy back in the sticking points section.

Girls really don't care if you have a girlfriend or not. If anything, I've found that they would rather hook up with a guy in a relationship because they get all the dick with none of the drama.

I always casually mention something about my "girlfriend" within a minute or two of meeting almost any attractive woman(usually by relating the two of them in some way, like 'my girlfriend would love your bracelet'). It's actually great, because most girls who are single don't care, so long as you tell her you're not in an exclusive relationship. And it makes you more appealing to girls who have boyfriends/husbands, because she won't have to break up with her guy in order to see you.

Wins all around.

I'm not married, but I'd probably call my wife my girlfriend, too. A LOT of unmarried girls aren't cool with you being married, even if it's open. If she's married however, DO tell her about the wife. Again, she's more comfortable if you're both in the same situation.

I didn´t know it could make me more appealing until now that you tell me this and until I read something about pre-selection in the mystey method book this weekend. thank you Versalis I guess i will use that same technique in the next oportunity.

Just to give a different opinion, i've found that girls, as a majority, DO care if you have a girlfriend. I experimented with it as a disqualifier for a while (when I used to still use all that stuff), and when it came down to kiss closing or whatever they'd 90% of the time say something like 'what would your girlfriend say?' or 'I dont think your girlfriend would like you doing that'. And then when I'd say 'oh actually, i dont have a girlfriend' they'd think I was lying and the damage is done. Obviously in some cases it could have just been a rejection for another reason, but still in my experience, not a great way to go about things.

Maybe, another way would be to say you are 'seeing someone', that gives the impression of a more casual non-exclusive relationship. Without having to say it. Saying 'im in an open-relationship' just stinks of bullshit. Plus it still gives you a legitimate out if the girl wants to progress with you.

Yeah, it sounds like the reason it didn't work for you, is because you made it sound like you were in a relationship and then tried to lie it about it afterwards. That's like the worst of both worlds.
