So I've been doing a lot of work on myself for the last year especially the last few months. Small little things at first which I got stuck at for too long and it's helped in a few ways but killed me in others.

I make a pint of it to smile and greet anyone and everyone that I come in contact with - whether I'm at work or in the mall or in the street doesn't matter. So far I've gotten only good responses. People have even mentioned that I've got a very inviting personality.

I also make a point to keep eye contact with people until they look away first. I've been mostly successful in winning the battle so to speak.

Recently I met a girl and I learned the following: 1) in being cocky funny i tend to take it a little too far and end up being goofy. Sometimes this works but it KILLS attraction quickly. 2) I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO BUILD ATTRACTION FROM THE START IN ORDER TO MAKE HER INTERESTED AND EVENTUALLY OBSESSED AND 3) I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO ESCALATE FROM OPENING TO BUILDING COMFORT AND ESTABLISHING RAPPORT TO BUILDING ATTRACTION TO NUMBER/KISS CLOSING TO GETTING DATES ETC.

I'm a wuss still in many ways but much less than I used to be.
This attraction thing is killing me - since some dud ugly motherfucker just came in and swooped her off of her feet right from under me - worst part - I'VE DATED HOTTER GIRLS THAN HER!!!!!!! In fact she would've been one of the most average I've ever gone for - she's got looks don't get me wrong but what gets me with her is her killer personality and sense of humor.

How do I build killer attraction from the start to get the girl obsessed with me and how do I escalate from there?

I'm thinking that wasting my time on this girl any further is pointless it's better to just move on and start with a new one?
