Ok. Jezuz. I am screwing up hugely during the email process. I do fine getting the email. There seems to be a lot of interest initially and they're happy to give me their contact info but somewhere I'm losing them --at an alarming rate.

What the hell am I doing wrong?

Is there some kind of email rule I'm unaware of?

Personally I think my sense of humor, that works pretty well for me in person, is not translating well in written form. I'm wondering if I should keep emails strictly business. No funny stuff? I had this problem with texting as well.

Also, is there a reccommended response time? I usually respond to emails once a day when I've checked my mail. Am I coming across as too eager/needy by responding too often?

language is a funny thing. it's simply symbols that represent ideas. communnication is what you should be shooting for though, and printed text just lacks most of what communication involves. you can't see a cheeky smile in Times New Roman no matter how hard you try :) body language is 90% of communication. so yes, i say keep it strictly business in e-mails. the basic 5, who, you and her, what, have a plan, when, have a time, where, refer back to what, and ias always for why, because you're the prize she's after after. :) good luck
