When you have approach anxiety and just can't bring yourself to do it, if you say "I am going to talk to her" that pushes you to talk to her. but you can't say it in your head, you have to pronounce the words outloud with your mouth. I think this applies to other aspects of life too. for example if you dont feel like exercising, you say "I am going to exercise right now"
I dont know what this is called but it has to be a psychological phenomenon.
the next time you have approach anxiety, try this, let me know how it works for you.
