All that I have studied in regards to NLP has been Ross Jeffries' Speed Seduction.

A downside to Speed Seduction is that there isn't any "basic beginner" material to ease into it. It's a hard friggin discipline to learn and master. It almost feels as if it's all or nothing in regards to learning and understanding it.

I have found that even if you just want to be able to throw in a few patterns or embedded commands in your regular routines, you still have to have a deeper understanding of Speed Seduction for it to have any effect, which takes plenty of effort to obtain.

"Regular" game is a lot easier to learn because you can ease into by doing one thing at a time. An example of a progression to mastery would be:
1. Learn some inner game concepts.
2. Do a few mental exercises to build and project a strong frame.
3. Go out and open some sets with an opinion opener.
4. Go out and open some sets, then use the best friends routine.
5. Go out, open sets, use routines, apply kino, then SOI by using the beauty is common routine.
6. Go out, open sets, run routines, kino escalate, give SOIs, and expose vulnerabilities that lead into more conversation.
7. Go out, open sets, kino, run routines, give SOIs, expose vulnerabilities, and at some point in the entire pickup, mention some plans you have for later in the week.
8. Go out, open sets, kino, run routines, give SOIs, expose vulnerabilities, mention plans somewhere in conversation, then number-close.
9. Call the number later to start learning phone game.
10. Go out, kino, open sets, run routines, give SOIs, expose vulnerabilities, mention plans, number-close, practice bouncing/venue changing and/or kiss-closing.
11. So on and so forth...

Throughout the whole process, you understand the process bit by bit as you do bit by bit. With Speed Seduction, however, you have to take in a huge wealth of knowledge with several realizations, doing many many mental exercises, and ultimately restructuring the way in which you speak and communicate. To me, it feels more like a series of a few GIANT steps earlier on that need more commitment than most people are willing to invest. You have to understand like...everything... to understand like one little thing.

However, I may change my mind after I check out Dave Riker's stuff. I hear that he breaks down SS in a series of organized steps to learn.

I'd recommend you to read Derren Brown's NLP books, he is one of the masters in NLP.
