I pose two questions to the forum with this post.
I'm completely fresh to the game, and am only starting to learn some theory and the such.

One- What are the steps that I should take to become a PUA?
What aspects of being a PUA should I figure out first, such as inner game, fitness, identity, theory, field experience, so on and so forth.

Two- What are some good skills to have as a PUA? I've heard that magic is a good skill to have, but what are some other ones, i.e. palm reading, cold reading, etc. I just want to know what some good skills to have are so I can look up books and learn how to do them, even better, If you could refer me to some good books or websites to learn, any help would be greatly appreciated.

for question one:
first off, practice practice practice. where are your conversational strengths? that is your first step, because i have seen some of the most ugly ass guys pick up a woman with pure linguistics. you need to just try your hand and how far you can get with one sarge, take a step back assess, then try again with another sarge later. everytime you'll get a little better and a little farther. then all your basic physique building, etc.
but PUA is like psycho-sexual chess between you and the woman, and she has the upper hand because she can shut you down at a moments notice. knowing this, think of your own strategy, and the practice with the suggestions above.

for question 2:
back massages- i play bass in a band, and played guitar when i was younger, so im good with my fingers. go to a music store and ask them about finger building, they have these little handheld grasping things that build finger strength. then read up as much as you can. but remember, it all about making them feel good

know your music- dont be a pro at certain bands groups or singers, but know a little bit about any band you can find. the "what music are you into" questions is a great escape when stuck in a conversation.

magic has never been a bad skill to know, palm reading is kinda cheesy, ive actually pulled a girl at a campus party by juggling a couple of empty heineken bottles. find something that makes you an individual.

Read some books, the game, the mystery method and magic bullets are some good ones. the game gives an overview but doesnt explain. start by just talking to as many girls and getting into their sets, then once your in set, try to learn stories and DHVs, once you get good at attraction, start getting better at comfort. kino, get used to it, be the touchy feely guy, it is hard as hell for me because it goes against how i've been but its necessary, and just keep finding your sticking points and getting over them.
