Why is the aplha never the joker ?

So I watched furious 7 and there was a scene where a girl did a reading on the group . She said one guy was the alpha and another was the joker .The joker looked angered and said he was the double alpha ( he isn't ) That got me thinking why is the joker never the alpha . The alpha should have a sense humour but somehow the joker either adds extra stuff or misses out on some . I am perceived as the joker what do i miss to be the alpha ? Did a joker ever endup as a true alpha ?

Eh, it is a movie. Movie and real life aren't similar in any way. The characters you see in movies are well..characters. There's plenty of alphas that have a sense of humor and people are attracted to people that fill them with good emotions.

Movies tend to portray alpha males as the 'strong silent type'. but in reality, those type of guys are boring to be around. for example take a look at daniel craigs bond - handsome, ripped, rich etc.. but you'd probably slit your wrists if you were in his company for more than 20 minutes.

Joker = The entertainer.

Alpha = The Leader


How can you lead if you're only seeing everything as a joke. Wheres the direction? However as Mr Assertive has said.. Its a movie man. I wouldn't model my life after its reference. And the fact that a comment from a fictional movie is making you a tad insecure speaks to why you're not the "alpha" you want to be. Forget the movie.. Be the FIRST Alpha/Joker - Force the world to develop a new way to depict alpha males. Go out and prove you can be both.
