I have heard both sides, some say yes you should because it shows you are attracted to her etc.

Others say

You should not because you give them higher value right away etc.

What do you guys think?

I personally think it's lame.
if I am talking to a girl, she should know whats up. if she doesn't, then she is too stupid for me and I dont want her.
the higher value thing too.
also not saying anything keeps it mysterious. "does he like me?" mystery is good.

If you can work it in in a clever or "cute" way. Something that will make her blush or smile, sure. Walking up and saying, "Hey, you're really cute," may be tough to move on from, but not impossible. It's not what you say, it's how you say it.

that way next time you see them, you can say "hey how's my wife doing?"... granted she remembers what you called her before. =)

There are many ways to say the same thing.

I've learned from thousands of trials and errors, the "compliment" method rarely works; like 5% of the time.

I have developed the "Adonis" look, so almost all the girls who I want are attracted to that look. (Example, if you want lawyer chicks, you dress like a lawyer)

Instead of saying "Hi, you're cute", a better way would be to point to your eyes then to hers...

Then wait 30 seconds...look at her again, if she is looking (most times she will), then point to her and motion for her to come over.

If she does, you've already won 80% of the battle, now you say, "So how come you got great taste?"

And go from there...

I wouldn't lead with "you're cute" - she gets that all the time. I've found even with girls I've been successfully gaming it works poorly.
