I am so mad at myself.

ok so a couple of months ago, I was driving and I saw this girl on the street. I said to myself "wow she is hot"

tonight I went to a wedding and she was there too. so I went up to her and said the weirdest thing. I said "I saw you walking on the corner of x blvd and y blvd (x and y being the street names)
she said "no, that wasn't me" I said "yes, it was, this is like a couple of months ago"

she said in a shocked tone "WOW good memory" and she didnt let me talk to her more, she moved on.

then a few minutes later, I saw her around and I said "sorry that wasn't supposed to be so creepy" she said "dont worry about it" but at this point I felt like there was no recovering from this. so that was the end.

dammit fuck me and my pick up line.

Probably a more subtle approach would have been more suitable. 'Hi do i know youre face im sure ive seen you around?' 'where are you from.' You did come across a bit creepy by naming street names etc and she was probably a little taken back... She may not have been interested atall and thats why she blew you off. Me personally i wouldnt have approached her directly i would have waited until she spoke to someone i knew at the wedding and used that as an indirect approach. Fair play for opening her though.

she was totally my type of girl, down to earth, not materialistic, cute, she was wife material. how do I know she was not materialistic? because she was wearing the exact same thing as the first time I saw her. She doesn't spend money on bullshit, totally my type of girl. dammit.

sorry but I think waiting around until someone else is talking to her is a bad idea. you could be waiting forever. besides, if there are 2 people talking, it's rude to go in and interrupt.

Totally disagree with its rude to interupt if your at a wedding surely your going to know someone she knows i would have used that to then get myself introduced to her. The approach was to direct which scared her off ultimately. If no one you knew spoke to her i would have then used a different opener. Just my opinion dude maybe you'll bump into her again....

Use your common sense

If a girl said she walked past you on x street 1.5 months ago , you would be creeped out too

Sounds like you're just inexperienced and you just need to put in your reps and approach more women in general. Things will auto correct along the day and you will hopefully get calibrated and not creep girls out
