We’re both juniors in high school. In the past couple months, I have been occasionally talking to this girl that has a high IL in me. However, I don’t really talk to her in school at all, just on the weekends at parties and such. When I hooked up with her in March, she pulled away and said that we were going too fast. I shrugged it off, and since then we’ve been lightly talking but it’s been ramping up recently. Last night, we were both at a party and talked a lot. We went to a secluded place, stood together (hands on hips), and talked. I drank a decent amount, so I don’t remember everything she said, but she started off asking “what is this”, referring to us. She said many times that she’s “confused” by my actions and isn't sure whether I talk to her just for sexual purposes or because I want to be in a relationship with her. I ended up going in for the make-out at some point, and we went for a couple minutes before I pulled away. After that, she said “I told myself i wasn’t going to do this.” When I asked why she didn’t want to do it, she said that making out with me would only make her more confused. Essentially, the end result out of our conversation was that I told her that I wasn’t going to ask her out then, but if we talk more and she brings it back up in a couple weeks I might have a different answer. We ended by saying that we'd make plans to hang out for the upcoming weekend and talk more.

How am i doing with this girl so far? Am I going in the right direction?
