i feel like i can approach and get her interested in me but all i really do is find stuff out about her. i want to be able to have other things to talk about and have fun topics to bring up thats not always me trying to find out things about her and jut laugh and have fun like as if she was a intimate friend
im still young so i still have time to up my game and develop my mouthpiece
any suggestions on where to go from here

There's not really any shortcut here, unless you want to make stuff up. But telling random stories is not a good idea other than as a last resort, when the conversation would otherwise die. Your stories should be something related to whatever topic you are discussing, and that's why you need to meet girls with "similar interests". But "similar interests" should not be interpreted as "same hobbies", but rather like "enjoying the same topics of conversation".
