So, I recently met this girl that works at a local bar (she's 21) and I'm 32. I played it cool a bunch of times that I've been in there and never hit on her. We finally got to talking and she gave me her number. We added eachother on facebook and we texted back and forth for a little bit. I still tried to play it cool, even though this girl is gorgeous. For whatever reason we stopped texting, and I ended up going into the bar a week later. I saw her, she clearly saw me. I didn't say a word to her or even acknowledge her. A few days later she texts me, and we weregoing back and forth for a couple days, she even called which is almost unheard of for girls these days. She initiated the plans for a day during the week and we decided to hang out.

Then all of a sudden I got the feeling that she was backing off, she wasn't as interested as she was the day before. Short texts, but still initiated the conversation. So the day that we're supposed to hang out comes around, and I get nothing. I probably shouldn't have, but I asked her if we were still on for the night, and I got some bs response right away saying that shes at work and feels horrible, followed up by a "we'll see". I didn't even respond to it, because after 32 years in life I know that an answer like that is bullshit.

My question is.. what's her deal? I know she gets hit on all the time, but why talk to me, hit it off, make plans, and then when the day comes, flake out?

Do I completely ignore her again, because that's what seemed to work in the past. Is it too late? What do you guys think?
