Hey my big question is do the routines work when you have a knowledge basis of whom the person is already?

For example i went to the local bar and found that most of my routines didn't work well on people i went to high school with rather than strangers. I prob think its the bias of the judgement made 6 years ago from the reputation of high school... idk
