For the past 1-1.5 months, this girl in my school has been telling me that we don't talk enough and should become friends. In the hallways, she says hi whenever I walk by and tries to start up a conversation. We never ended up talking that much, because I didn't really have time to between school and offseason football training. However, last night (saturday night) there was an overnight event at my school that we both went to. Around 1 in the morning or so, we went for a walk together around the hallways of the school that no one was in. We ended up sitting and flirting for a solid hour and a half, and then I pulled her in for the make out. After like 20 seconds, she pulled away and said that we were going too fast. I was surprised, and eventually just shrugged it off to her. She asked if I was okay, and I ask her why wouldn't be and told her that I was perfectly fine.

The only thing is I don't know where to go from here. We never really talked much during school, so I can't really reduce contact more than what it really was. How should I approach this situation? We're both juniors in high school.

Do you have her number? Doesn't matter really...you have to take her out, better doing it in person since you said every now and then you talk a bit, just throw the...i want to hang out sometime...somwhere in between she clearly is interested in you plenty of time to talk then

I agree with this. Next time you see her, get her contact details. Run deeper into the emotional progression model and she will be yours.

This girl is really into you, just that you did not qualify her which is why she had to pull back from the physical escalation. So get to know her more as a person before you escalate the next time round. She is pretty much in so do not over think the situation.

Thanks for the input guys. Just have a couple questions.
1. Should I approach her, or wait until she approaches me? should I just start try to start a normal conversation and then get the number?

2. Also, should I talk to her about us hooking up and going to fasr or pretend it never happened? At the time, I was a little surprised she said that, but In hindsight I did probably escalate too fast.

2.naah man...i mean what would you say about that anyway...ask her why she said that...you would only put her in a uncomfortable situation...but yet you dont have to act like it didnt happen...you just dont bring up the.."why did you say we are going too fast"..part just act as you did before, from what i have read she liked you...so why change your attitude and conversations now?
