Hey all, my name is Jerry, after a 12 year marriage I find myself back in the dating game and realize that it is just that. I have a great job, I value women because I was raised by a single mother, I find it hard to cheat. In fact I never did in marriage and only twice while dating. I felt like shit. So now Ive been seeing this girl for six weeks straight and shit was great, suddenly on her B-day weekend shit goes weird real fast! we went from texting everyday to one day she doesn't text. we resume texting and shit is still weird. At first I thought maybe I am smothering her, but it didn't fell like it. We were both into it.

so this is today's text: after previously describing dinner.

Me: K so we are all set for tomorrow I have a red bottle of wine and chicken marinating.
Her: Tempting..
Me: ha ha, pack a bag lol.
me: wait pack a bag.
Her: why
Her: So Im calm
Me: Because we are switching roles.. Your digging holes and I'm gonna be bossy
Me: I dont care what you bring I can handle all you've got to offer
Her: ha ha good one
Me: I'll run a couple of miles tomorrow so we are on somewhat of even ground lol.
Her: You mean as being tired?
Me:You'll think so but I think you know I dont get tired
Me: Hows was your shift still good and steady
Her: No it was dead all day not getting any better
Her: Not sure if tomorrow is going to work..
Her: How was your day
Me: Work was good just typing really sucked. Whats up w Friday? You sacred you in too BIG a trouble ; )
Her: Lol I know def w u its gonna happen. But just don't wanna say yes right away..
Me: What the hell are you talking about lol
Her: haha.. hold on I'm jumping in the shower
Me: Call me after. (9:54pm)

hour later no call. Typing this I see i gave way too much effort. Fucked up is I kind of liked her.

Her: I got caught up watching this show.. Can I call u tm
Me: Nah, I'll be busy. Don't worry about it.
Her: Ur never busy lol. Its' over want to talk now.
Me: Nah I'm all set, going to bed.

Her: Good morning u still want me to come over later? (8:39 am)
Her: (Missed call) (0921)
Her: Whats the matter? Not sure what I did to piss you off lastnight (9:29)

Me: Can u call me before I go into work (9:31am)
Her: Calls and I answer. (0946)


We talk, for about 20 min. we are at this awkward stage of having seen each other for 5 or 6 weeks in a row but not defined anything or even had this conversation, we both acknowledge this. She blames her long shifts 10 hour days as a Mixologist and being on her feet all day. She claims that the text (BOLD one) in question was meant for me... That when she gets out of work she is dead to the world and does not like planning ahead. (I however have to plan because of shared custody with a child).

Allow me to put the totality of circumstances in to play, I am in the final stages of a divorce. I have no leg to stand on asking for a commitment nor do I know if I am emotionally available for one. I was upfront, she knows my circumstances. I told her neither of us owe each other any explanations, hell do you what you want, just be up front. She goes on to say that after her shift she is so tired and wants to be able to relax. I capitalize and immediately tell then thats an issue if you feel you cant relax around me, thats borderline torture and who the hell wants that. She back pedals fast... NO no no you dont understand, I enjoy your company when I am around you, its just the end of my shift drags and between work and the house I just want to shut down.

We finish off by her asking if I still wanted her to come over tonight, I replied not sure not really feeling it right now I'll let you know later. To which she replied a very natural and raw Whaaaattt! I addressed I said it still doesn't make sense. We left off with me telling her pack a bag I'll let you know later.
