What are the main things to do in order to keep her around/interested, and make something of it later on?

Touch her on non-sexual places like her shoulders, her back, her arms in a natural and relaxed way. Be playful with words, and make jokes with a sexual undertone. "So you like bananas? Do you like them big? You become more stuffed the bigger they are, you know. You can eat more of them if they are small, of course..." (A very bad example).
Be random. Always come up with new ideas and things to do. This is hard though.

Want to avoid falling into a LJBF, becoming a rebound guy, or just getting her tired of me.
What about telling her we should cut contact for a while, and see each other again in e.g. 3 months. What would that do to a girl? Maybe make her want me more, cause I am the one who is breaking the contact, and she would be wondering why (doesn't he like me anymore, is there someone else,..)?

so I'm really thinking of cutting off contact for some time (6 months), because for me things have become a little monotonous. And of course there is also a danger of falling into friend zone, cause our relationship is mostly based on text messaging.
Can breaking off contact bring any downsides? What about the upsides?
Thanks guys.
