One thing I find to be a DHV is to dress in a slightly outlandish or different fashion to most people and rock it with total confidence.

The biggest compliment i get is my dress sense.

I don't mean peacocking with a purply furry vest or anything extreme like in The Game, but don't just fit in with the shirts, jeans and loafers uniform.

A good watch.

In my opinion, in a world where everyone says "I don't need a watch, I have my cell phone" using a classic timepiece, like a Rolex, Breitling or Omega is a must. If you can't aford it new, check the local pawn shops, if you still can't aford it, there are excelent replicas available on the $100 price range.

BTW, don't pick some chinese shop ghetto style blinged thing the size of a manhole that days "Dulce Gadana", unless you want to match it with the "Abibas" track suit and "Mike" snickers. Really, that kind of stuff only makes you look bad.

No item of clothing is DHV. I can take a pea coat or a trench coat (as you mentioned these above) and one guy would make them look great whilst another would make them look terrible. If the clothing fits properly and is congruent with your style, then it will almost certainly be as 'DHV' as clothing can - because it makes you look good.

A bloke in a good fitting and congruent pair of £35 jeans and £15 tee shirt, he will attract a lot more girls than someone wearing an ill-fitting and garish £150 pair of jeans with a £90 tee shirt. Clothing is only really 'DHV' if it makes you look good.

Yes, you can have a nice watch etc. which suggests you've got lots of money but if you look a mess or if your game is crap, the item of clothing itself isn't going to help. Look good first and foremost - and you can do this very cheap without buying "statement" pieces or expensive items of clothing - and you will 'DHV' far more than someone who wears expensive clothes just to try and show how rich he is.

Create your own style but do not make yourself appear like a clown..

I always wear business-casual: blue suede wingtip shoes, well fitted beige chinos/slacks, white-tight t-shirt and a tailored grey suit jacket..and several accessories like a stainless ring, and 4~5 layered bracelets.

These along work GREAT, these along will separate you from other guys with jeans and graphic t shirts..

P.S. cowboy hat works like a charm.

Silk scarves are good if you can pull it off ;) You can get that whole bohemian, sexy wild man thing going.

My typical dress style is the standard printed t-shirt, jeans and converse. About a year ago I use to wear neckerchiefs and I wore one as part of my costume last night for a halloween fancy dress gathering, I got a shit ton of attention or IoI's from wearing it from both guys and girls. I'm going to start wearing them again after last night just because I know its unique within my social circle and almost like my way of peacocking.

I also use to hang a couple of lanyards from the back of my jeans, but that didnt spark much interest from people and I've since tamed that personal fashion statement down abit, I now attach them to my keys which sit in my pocket.
