A close friend of mine is a music producer, however, he needs to set his equipment up at my place to do a few recording sessions. One of the sessions is with this HB9 that I saw around a lot last semester (college), we made a lot of eye contact, "I see you, you see me" kinda stuff. She would always walk by me, I'm almost 100% sure she would do this to give me opportunities to approach but I would always talk myself out of it. My AA is a lot better now and I figure since she'll be in my house briefly, it's the best opportunity to get her number because I haven't seen her around yet this semester.

How would you approach this?

I planned on leaving before they started recording to give her privacy but I also wanted to get the number beforehand as well incase the session is over early and she leaves before I get back. I can go direct or indirect here, it doesn't really matter much. I'm just trying to maximize my chances of turning this into something. I've never spoken to this girl in my life but we made a lot of eye contact a WHILE ago, which she may or may not remember.

Extra Information:

She's around 20-21 years old. So she may or may not be mature yet. She's been in a couple relationships since I've known of her. She's single now. She sings and when she comes to record she's recording a song. She wears heels all the time on instagram (I follow her she follows me).

I thought about going direct and immediately isolating. For example, she comes in and I look at her like she looks really familiar but I can't put my finger on it. Then I say something like,

Me: "Let me talk to you real quick" or "we need to talk, come here"
Her: *Follows outside of room*
Me: I think I've seen you around before. I wanna know if there's more to you than just a pretty face. Are u smart?
Her: Yeah (I doubt she'll say no, but if she does, I'll pass anyways. lol)
Me: Good. Maybe you'll be able to do my homework for me then (jokingly)
...somehow this will lead to a # close.

How is this? Too direct for strangers? Do you think she will have her guard up since I'm taking her away from recording her song? What if she doesn't follow me outside of the room when I tell her I want to talk to her. She approached my friend about doing the song if it makes any difference, so she's serious about recording it.

No way dude. I wouldn't say any of that canned crap. Just be calm, relax. Wait for her to show up, say hi, I'm not gonna hang around for your recording session but I'd like to hang out with you sometime. You could sing me lullabyes. Get the number and maybe and invite to stick around for the session.

Like you said, it would be a shame to come back after and have her be gone.
