I'm interested because there are so many sites, that talk negatively about PUA, talking about 2% lay rates against approaches.

Last year, ... I used direct approach with 50 women all between 18-21, HB 8's and above, these are my results. Are they common? I have a 24% lay rate. My style is to open, isolate quickly and physically escalate whilst building rapport and teasing. I tend to go for high energy environments if that makes any difference.

Seriously, though, I never bothered. But still, I'm probably a bit below your results, altough I'm more focused in daygame, wich I reckon makes it harder, and more time consuming.
