Posts: 215 | | Okay we have all seen how I met your mother. I was thinking how everyone felt about how barney gets laid in the show. I know its just a TV show but still what do you think about just lying, I mean flat out lying about who you are and what you do to get chicks? I mean women do it to men constantly only to reveal their true motives after she has a guy on the hook. Just a topic for discussion

But if you become well known in your demographic, you'd be called that manipulating guy who lies about everything. Girls will talk to each other and to other guys about you, and you'd be nothing but a sad person who's lying to get laid.
Why lie if you can make yourself the guy you want to be?

Posts: 356 | | Well, that was how I started out. Although I don't see it as lying, it was more of a "social status precognition". Anyway, I eventually came to take the job, social circle and lifestyle I was simulating, wich comes to prove the old saying is true... "More important than being is seeming."
