I am looking for thoughts on the best way to make a move on a girl that I've been friends with for quite a while I can tell from out convos/texts I am not friend zoned but I wanna make a move before that happens I have a few ideas but some other opinions would be cool to

when you are texting her,start to compliment her (if you already have,get adventurous with your compliments) and slowly start to initiate your interest in her,then ask to meet up for a coffee/walk or if you are old enough: a drink. when out,talk to her and then initiate kino(touch her face,feel her hair,etc,etc) then kiss (if you feel its right)

Compliment her by saying: "your hair looked really pretty today,you have a fantastic smile,etc,etc" basically compliment something about her or something she does,

Thanks for the advice I appreciate it! I've been admitidly slow with the escalation because she is more of the emotional type. She's dropped what I've taken to be some ioi's but I didn't read much into it I saved her from a a dirty ass creep one time the next day she texts me I wish there were more guys like you and hearts. Then she moved to another city for school and wants to get back into boxing but there nowhere close byshe txted me. So I thought well I am gonna test her I was like well your partly in luck good news is my friend is gonna be running a program at uni bad news is I am gonna be there to train sometimes she texts me back I am the luckiest girl in the world.... On both accounts so I took that as an ioi but didn't read into it a lot. Other then that its been a mix of teasing and intelligent convo. I'll be seeimg her next week so I'll escalate some more.
