So, I was outside my work and all these girls were walking by, but I was with my boss so I just layed low. He went in and as I was going in this girl and I caught eyes, just for a second. I said fuck the reasonable thing and go get her. So I approached her from behind (not what you are supposed to do but she was about 20yards ahead of me), stopped her and:

RED: HI, I saw you walking by and you caught my eye, and I had to stop you
Her: That has never happened to me before
RED: Well, I hope this ends up worth it for the both of us
Her: well, lets see

We talked for a little but I put a time constraint on b/c I said that I was working and that I had to get back. I told her that with the holidays coming up soon that I would like to see her before I get out of town so we don't forget about each other. She agreed and the past couple of days we have been playing phone tag. She had to do the family thing, but SHE called me that day, the next day we had plans to meet but she went home from work sick, the next day she called me and she was just getting off work at 10:30pm (financial job at the end of the year is brutal). I sent her a text yesterday asking if she was free and I haven't heard from her yet.
She is excited to talk to me on the phone and it seems like we both want to make this happen just the holidays put a huge time crunch on people and starting anything new....

ANY ADVISE OR IS THIS ADVENTURE OVER?

I would give her a call (not a text) 2 more times max, If she doesnt answer leave a simple message telling her to call. If she doesnt call dont be bummed find new one(s)

It doesn't sound to me like you did everything wrong. On the contrary, you seem to have done many things right. If you haven't heard from her in a couple days, call her again (once only). If she's truly interested in talking to you, as you say, she will call back.

A thought:

You two work in the same building, right? Have you tried asking her to lunch or coffee at work? This may or may not be a good idea; you know the circumstances better than I do, so it's a judgment call.

no we work in two totally different fields. I was standing outside work and she was walking by on her way home. Just a chance that she was walking by as I was outside.

didnt see anything wrong....like the other person said. give her a call and if she dont answer leave a msg. if she doesnt reply just move on. she'll call eventually

You telegraphed a lot of interest at the start of your interaction (something you can't rely on all the time), but it seems like you did fine. Personally, I'd put her on hold. Go out and talk to a couple of more girls, see if she tries to get a hold of you when the holiday rush is done.
