How do you approach a target getting hit on by multiple other guys at the same time? It happened to me tonight, at a kickback(the only one chick left). It was obvious too because the guys would only give her attention and try to make her laugh, at the same time NEGGING THE OTHER GUYS. I tried to show her little attention and take her off the pedestal, but she likes attention so much that she just ignored me. I also tried to engage the other guys' attentions but they only wanted to focus their energy on her.

Dude, this is something I've been doing lately to get the "social butterfly."

Go to the bartender... Say "I want to get that girl a drink. Tell her its from me." POINT TO HER. If she sees you, good. If not, oh well... AND BUY HER A WATER! I've used it 5 or 6 times now and each time the girl has stormed over to me (left the group of guys) saying something like "WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS?!" or just pissed off in general cause its something that she isn't used to. LMFAO it works like a damn CHARM! From there I'll say something like "You looked super thirsty hangin out with all those guys over there." or "What did you think? I was gonna just buy you a drink?! I don't even know you!" and SMILE... It's fucking amazing what it does. Otherwise you're trying to disarm alot of guys who are trying to the same thing as you.

It wouldn't have applied in this situation because I was at a house party, but I guess there are several overarching points:
-don't be like every other guy
-getting her attention>ignoring her and hoping she'll notice you, even if it means pissing her off a little at first
