1) She has a boyfriend.
2) We broke up 2ish years ago, She went off to Uni and dumped me because I didn't visit her/pay her attention enough. It came out she only dumped me to get attention and was miserable for a while.

Anyway over christmas I started chatting to her again over facebook. I really only wanted to get into contact as I've had a bad string of luck with some slutty/slaggy mind fucker girls and was wondering what I was doing wrong as I'm attracting loud slutty/slaggy girls instead of the cute/shy girls that I find ridiculously hot.

So we were having a conversation, she stated that I was a probably one of the best boyfriends she's had and that she did really really like me and that her only complaint was that I don't really have a romantic bone in my body (I save that for V-Day, Christmas and Birthdays.)

Anyway...on V-Day this year we were having a little chat over Facebook again, she seemed to be having a boring day and such but then this stuff happened. (Just so you know I wasn't even trying to game her just have a standard convo so there will be some AFC shit.)

Me: hello sweetness, hanging from party last night, hows the day going?
Her: Its been brilliant. Made soooo many pancakes today! I could have eaten them all but I didn't! You are always at parties! I miss it, I've partied once since October (she's finished uni) even when I was at Uni I didn't have enough time to party as much as you do.
Me: I make the time, its worth it got a couple more this week. Bring me pancakes woman!
Her: ehehe, throw me a party and I'll bring you pancakes.
Me: Get your arse to brighton then!
Her: Its a little bit late for a 2 hours drive haha, definitely soon tho!
Me: Do it, i'll let you know when the next big party is going on.
Her: haha okay, do you have enough room in your house for lil me?
Me: Yup, massive house. Bring your fella along if you like, he seems nice. You need to be ready, we normally just don't sleep and party all night.
Her: naaaaaah, that would be a bit weird. what keeps you awake lol? You need to smoke more weed
Me: True but when I do no work gets done...you need to be motivating more. What a letdown you turned out to be.

*I go out and leave facebook on by accident*

Me: *Recent story about a fight I got into due to some dickhead thinking I was chatting his gf up at a party*
Her: Ohhhhh Poor you, Some guys can be really possessive. At least your not spineless...I liked that about you.
Me: I must be making a trip to visit me sound majorly appealing.
Her: I hated my last night out where you are (uni)
Me: What was wrong?
Her: It was just horrible, weird and full of hipsters...ughhghghghghg It was called *club name*
Me: tsktsk I could have told you not to go there, its rubbish. Someone like you would like *club*/*club*/*club*
Her: hmmmm well you can take me out in Brighton as long as you don't get into any fights!
Me: I'm pretty sure I can keep that promise.
Her: You'd better, I can only keep you safe for so long
Her: What you upto SPAM?
Me: Chilling with my friend Megan, probably gonna go out.
Her: I don't think you should, stay home and talk to me. Your pretty high SPAM anyway right? you'll just get sick and sleepy if you drink alcohol.
Me: I know but there are people I wanna see.
Her: People, or girls???
Me: People who are also girls oh and Charlie, you'd love Charlie!
Her: Who's Charlie?
Me: He's fun is who he is.
Her: Okay invite him to our night out!
Me: Okay...yeah I'm going out.
Her: You whore!
Me: Ah but what fun!
Her: I suppose you stand a chance of pulling a single lucky lady.

So what do you think this girl is up for. I was genuinely just trying to be friendly when I suggested her and her bf come down to visit me, found it weird she doesn't want him to meet me. I also found it weird that as soon as I mentioned going out she starts questioning if girls are going out.

When we were going out she did get extremely jealous that girls do like to flirt with me and that I do get on with girls outside of a club (most of my friends are female) it also can't be a bad thing that everyday recently photos have been added to FB where I've always got a girl in tow.

She sees what she's missing, she's seeing you don't need her, your unavailability has definitely got her re-interested. Especially with the boyfriend thing. However, I would keep the chatting to a minimum, especially if she keeps refusing to do what you want - which is come visit you. She could also be using you as an emotional pillow, and is likely unhappy with her current boyfriend.

Now, you don't need to say anything like "until you visit I don't want to chat" but you're doing well so far. Bring up her visiting when you do chat, and if she puts up resistance then end the conversation quickly and divert your interest elsewhere. You basically want to send that message indirectly, because if you want more than just friends then you won't settle for less.

Now if she does come visit, maintain that frame. Women want your attention, as you seem to have a good amount of value, so your attention also carries weight. If you imply that sex is a condition of that attention, you'll steer it towards either getting what you want or she will back down, and stop wasting your time. In the meantime, if visiting is really a hassle for her, then you can flirt with her and try to get dirty pics of her - if nothing else, that will show your intention, and reveal hers. Hell, it worked on my first girlfriend, years after we broke up, and she was married at the time. Flirting > sexting > pictures > meet up > sexual hookups in a hotel.
