I want to know step by step how one can go through the initial approach. I have looked around, but I am still confused. Thanks.

I'd hate to say this, but it's all about ADAPTABILITY.

Without it, step-by-step won't do a thing to you.
The Venusian Arts book by Mystrey will give you a detailed Idea of what goes on in each stage, A1,A2,A3 and so forth. And what you can do during those stages. If you want a basic idea, here:

-Open
-Multiple Thread
-DHV story and/or Routines
-Push and Pull
-Neg or
-Role Play
-Routines
-Find IOI's
-Isolate
-Give her IOI's
-Push and Pull
-Neg or
-Role Play
-Close "kiss or #"

That's just an idea, you have to change the order according to what's you feel is necessary. Know this, it's not the method itself. its how the method is demonstrated.

Like a movie, its not the script, but how the script is presented.
