One source of AA for me is the "what if she's jailbait" factor, in other words, in venues such as malls, coffee shops, bookstores, etc where there is no age requirement for entry (as opposed to night game venues which are often 18-and-up or 21-and-up), I find I don't want to approach a lot of hot girls cause "they're probably jailbait" and I don't want to be a "predator".

Outside of obvious clues (like a college T-shirt which most likely indicates that she's in college not high school, and thus not likely jailbait), or a high school t-shirt or letter jacket which is like a sign saying "STAY AWAY! JAILBAIT!") what is a good way to screen before approaching, so I don't end up as "that creepy guy chatting up underage girls".

Girls are looking older then they really are these days.

What I suggest is if you think she might be underage but you just have to approach to be sure (Whatever helps you sleep at night) open with a line about college or High School.

Ryan: "This girl/guy I used to know in High School is calling me, I don't know what they want, do you think it's weird? Has anyone ever called you that you haven't spoken to since High School"

Her: "Tee Hee" I don't know yet, I'm still in High School!"

Or use a opener about College, just assume she is in College

"I'm shopping for ______ for my dorm" "Maybe you can help, you look like a College student, do you live in dorms?"

Just walk up to her and ask for her opinion on something, your just asking a question, and then ask her age when conversating, your not doing nothing wrong, just talking but you should be able to tell how old she is just looking at her and studying how she is caring herself, stay away from jail bait, good luck.

haha! I gamed this really hot girl the other day. got her number, actually got her to make me a paper snowflake while she was working helping customers.

Exactly... There no law against talking to an underage girl... or flirting with her... Just if you find out she's underage eject.

That why I'd make sure while I'm flipping her attraction switches, if I think the girl might be underage to throw in some fluff about work, school, bars, whatever to get an idea of age... and I usually just ask at some point in the fluff... (So I don't end up K-closing little girls, lol)

Just as The Doc said, there's no law against talking to underage girl, or as he said, even flirting. It's not like a cop is going to pop up and arrest you for talking to the girl. You've done nothing wrong.

So, just open her as you would ANY other girl. Start talking to her and find out.

i met my ex girlfriend of the internet and she appeared to be around 19/20 but i was informed she was 18, then as I got to know her she said she was 16 accidently, so I thought fair enough I haven't really got to know her properly yet, But she wouldn't let me meet her parents or any of her friends. so I was a bit suspicious, so I asked her about her national insurance number and she started giving excuses that it may have been sent to the wrong house.
