I tried a variety of cleansers and use the ones that work the best on me daily... also, try not to touch your face... and if you just exercised then take a shower immediately afterwards.... kinda weird, but colder weather causes breakouts more than warmer weather

I have some pretty mild acne on my face, and average-to-bad acne on my upper body (chest, shoulders, back). Not so good for the confidence levels, I tell you. I thought what the heck, and bought some stuff from acne.org. So far, the results have been good.

So we're aware, I'm not advertising for them. The postage costs to Australia were pretty horrendous so I only ended up buying the cleanser and benzoyl peroxide. If you're able to get the other products they suggest elsewhere, then by all means do it (especially if you don't have access to a credit card or SPAM). I used to follow a particular daily regimen involving a cheap cleanser, toner (happened to have some in the bathroom) and moisturiser (very important!), and it also worked until I ran out of toner and couldn't find it in stores.

I still get the occaisional little breakout, but nowhere near as bad as I used to - there was a point where I would always have at least one big, sore postule at any given time, but this has stopped that completely. I strongly suggest you follow the instructions carefully, though, and start with small amounts - I initially used more than my skin could handle and the skin on my neck went really flaky for a few days. I cut back on it and within 3 days the flaking was gone.

In any case, NO MATTER WHAT, just ignore the fact that you have acne. Seriously. Even if it's pretty bad, most women will be more turned off by you being insecure about it than the acne itself. Don't look at it (if it's in a visible area...my shoulder acne would sometimes spread down my upper arm a bit - not so good for t-shirts) and certainly don't touch it.

Edit: I also recommended the stuff to my boss at work, whose acne is significantly worse than mine (she's 24 and I'm 20). She ordered some a week or so ago, so we'll have to wait and see how that goes as well.

have you tried laser SPAM, i dont know the clinical name for it but it works great ive had 2 SPAM and im gonna have 4 more but before it there was nothing that helped my "mild acne" and made my skin just about perfect its well worth the money though and lasts for a long time or so they say

I appreciate everyone's advice, but I only have mild acne.I guess it's kind of like puberty acne.I think that with the right skin product I can clear it up.I mean something like a clearasil, but better.

Proactiv works the best. Also, carry around some hand sanitizer so that if you do end up touching your face, it's not as dirty/greasy.

I have tried almost everything (RetinA, Benziclin, Tetracycline, ProActiv, Duac, Over the Counter Applications, etc). The only thing I haven't tried is accutane. My acne stays under control pretty well in the summer. However, it can become pretty noticeable in the winter. I've struggled with this for about 5-6 years now. I think you should try to get a prescription to treat it. However, the two things that seemed to get overlooked that have helped me the MOST is MOISTURIZER and drinking a lot of WATER.

The medications you take will dry out your skin. It is essential to make sure to apply moisturizer to the spots that seem to be flaking/drying out. My skin seems to change in the winter. The cold causes my face to become very dry, causing different kinds of breakouts and redness. I make sure that I apply more moisturizer in the winter (especially to the cheeks and neck). I use products like RetinA to dry out the T-Zone (Forehead, Nose, Chin area) if I see a breakout.

Another thing that has helped me tremendously that is often overlooked is drinking WATER. I have cut down on my consumption of Soda and other carbonated beverages along with this. Drinking alot of water helps to flush out your system and really helps your complexion. I have noticed a very large difference ever since I started making a conscious effort to drink more water.

I think moisturizer and water go a long way to keep your skin from drying out, especially in the winter months.

Ive had pimples more than the average guy all my life, but really bad acne started like 4 years ago. It wasnt just normal pimples anymore, it was like a big pile of shit unde rmy skin.
I live in Holland so I don't know how it is by you guys, but I went to a doctor and he gave me stuff called "roaccutane" it's really aggressive stuff. Your skin will dry from it and I had to test my liver every 2 months, but I got rid from my acne for a year. It stayed gone from my body but I got it back to my face, so I used it again, after 7 months same story and now I finished it for the third time. I assume its not good for your body but its better than to live with those big piles of shit under your skin.

So my advice: if the shit is serious, seek help from a doctor and not from the internet

There's an over-the-counter soap called "Pan-Oxyl", dont recommend for face but for body acne works great. You can get it in 5% or 10% benzyl peroxide.

You have some problems with acnes? Is that back acnes? No worries, you can try to use some natural materials to remove all of them.

For instance, you can try to use lemon juice.

It can exfoliate dead cells effectively; therefore, it is the optimal choice if you want to quickly get rid of back acne. Moreover, it can give you a helping hand in eliminate bruises because of its anti-swollen agents. Cut a lemon into 2 halves and rub them on your infected skin 2-3 times per week. You can see the improved results in no time. You can make use of it to treat other acne-related diseases such as acne scars, black heads and blemishes.

Besides you also can use olive oil.

Hope it works effectively :)
