I've been talking with a girl for a few weeks, and up until now I've been getting good vibes off her; she mostly talks to me first, she is very receptive of my humour, and she's tried to qualify herself a few times by showing some semi-naughty pics to 'prove' she's good enough. Yesterday we were chatting over the phone and she said that she "didn't like me in that way", so I said something along the lines of "I don't like you like that either, we're so alike!...".

Honestly, no girl has ever said that to me before so I'm not sure what is going on, haha. So, was that a shit test? If something like that happens again, how do I shake it off? Or does it genuinely mean she's not that into me?

Yeah kinda, she is more or less just addressing the frame, likely she either has no interest in you, or you are being completely platonic around her.

You know what they say, treat a friend like a friend, a lover like a lover and an enemy like an enemy. If you treat a girl like a friend, expect nothing more.

She is subtly saying you should grab your balls and do something, or you should fuck off and analyze your every conversation in the future wherever is it a shit test or is she genuinely into you.

The "semi-naughty pics" had nothing to do with "proving" anything to you other than a not-so-subtle hint of trying to get you to escalate things. Since you didn't, she gave-up and threw you in the "Let-be-friends" bin. And rather than trying to escalate the sexual vibe, you acted butt-hurt and you PRETENDED to disqualify her even though you want her (in response to her legitimately disqualifying you).

Bottom line: She's not interested in you as you're just a safe and boring 'funny guy' with no balls.
