The goal is not to make a girl laugh. You're not a circus clown. The goal is for you yourself to enjoy the interaction.

Smile and laughter are contagious. More often than not if you smile at someone they smile back. Same applies to laughing. If you genuinely laugh, people tend to laugh with you.

You can also get giggles by having a sense of humor and expressing it through sarcasm, teasing, witty banter, etc. But even then if you're not doing it primarily to amuse yourself, but rather to get a reaction out of her, you're doing it for the wrong reasons.

Point is, approach not to prove yourself to her, but to give her a chance to prove herself to you.
