A couple of weeks ago I went into a pub in the evening near where I work in London on my own, mainly to use the toilet and buy a packet of crisps...as its a way from any shops.

Anyway, this pub turns out to have a very famous quiz night. I was standing at the bar and as you can imagine it was very man and very nerd heavy....so I wasn't in sarging mode really.

Then I noticed in some of the groups that they contained 1no hot bookish type girl...amongst total AFCs...these guy were vying for each girls attention...and you could see were all blatantly friend zoned long ago. But as they were all sitting down in closed groups.....how to open????? hmmmm

Anyway, that's not the point. The questions were very high brow and mainly literature based (which I know a little about...well enough to bluff though ). 2 women were sitting down at a high table....I mouthed the answer in a jokey way to one of the girls....see smiled and wrote down the answer. Then her friend came to the bar and bought a drink.....I gamed her, then see invited me over to join them.

The one at the bar was a HB5 and the one sitting down a HB8.5. We did the quiz and chatted away and had a laugh. they told me they were both single....the HB8.5 said that she is not looking until she has a new job.

The HB5 asked for my number to meet at the quiz the following week....and we did.

The next week went well...had a laugh....they were both very dressed up.....I complimented the HB5 a bit (trying to do a jelousy routine) and teased the HB8.5 (as she is about 5'10 and was moaning about how she can't find a tall man. I did the usual disqualification...." I know a bloke who would be perfect for you!" etc etc.

They suggested a late bar and we went there.....Now.... I've made NO move on either...the HB5 is well up for it though!...but I'm all about the HB8.5. I was outside with the HB8.5 as we both smoke, but she was very matey and zero keno (not that I tried very hard)

At the end of the night the HB5 said she couldn't come out next week, so I should take the HB8.5s number. I text her 3 days later... and very brief to the point answers...so I've laid of texting...... where to go now???


I've played it very matey......up till now!......do I just ask the HB8.5 out without her mate?
