This has been bugging me.

Let's say you're in a cafe or bar/restaurant where a set is seated at a low table below you. Now, if you make an approach and you stand up tall and look down at them, (i) they're looking up your nose, and (ii) if there's music or loud conversation, they won't hear you. So, you have to bend down to talk to them, but, according to the PUA guidelines, you're not supposed to lean in.
What do you do?

Secondly, let's say you're at a similar place and there's a 2-set sat at a table with an empty chair. Do you stand next to the chair, run your opener, etc. and hope that they ask you to sit down? What if they don't? If you ask, "is this seat taken?" or, worse, "mind if I sit down?" then you AFC right off the bat, when all you want to do is get at the same level as them so you can be heard and have a chance at kino, etc.
What do you do?

Lean slightly over the railing, but after inital opening stand up straight...even better do it over the back of your chair while your sitting...if its too loud walk past and open them.

Second situation is simple, you open them, then you say something like, "Hey since we are already speaking, ima ask you something else..." say to stack an opener...then just sit down and remember to have your FTC in there.

If they say that someone is gonna sit there you can say, "O good, because i can only stay a min before i have to go back to my friends."

Then just keep going.

1. Ok the best thing to do is, not lean over, but skwot next to their table while talking to them. Try nickin her seat and she sit on yr lap. Or just take a seat with you. Dont see leaning in as a PUA sin, i've seen plenty of PUA's do it. Its just that mystery says you should never lean, even if you cant hear them.

2. Start your opener before you sit down or as your sitting down. But always take a seat if you can cus it makes you a part of the set (kinda locks you in) and makes both feel more comfortable.

Hey I see you're in Philly too. What are some good places to go sarging? I really like Continental, both midtown and Old City, but I usually just focus my attention on sets sitting / standing by the bar. What about approaching and entering a set that's sitting, for example, at a booth or table?
