so I say my opener
the girl says something
I react. I say something like "yeah"
then I think "what did she just say?" and it takes a few moments for it to sink in, and then I go "oops, I gave the wrong answer. the answer wasn't yeah"
English isn't my first language so I don't know if it's a language issue or if I am just nervous or lack of experience. to me, people mumble a lot. sometimes I can't understand conversations on tv either.
anybody else here know what I am talking about? _________________ I have not failed 10,000 times. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work. - Edison
