My problem is. Everytime I night game i feel the need to be drunk to get into the zone. And I actually do pretty damn well once I am. But i've realized this lifestyle of getting drunk 5 nights out of the week is going to ruin my life.
I tried going out sober a few times this week and it was ROUGH. I'm naturally a low energy mellow person when I'm sober (Which is why i love daygame).
whenever i'm sober i get feelings of extreme exhaustion, annoyance with being bumped into, I have a hard time smiling, i feel too tired to give an overly expressive approach.... I genuinly have a hard time enjoying clubs sober. But I know I have to push through it.
But how do you try to enjoy something you really don't like?
How do you guys hype yourself up sober?
Should I not workout right before I go out sober? usually I lift in the evening and maybe it drains me of my much needed energy?
I've done hundreds of approaches, I know what a good approach is in contrast too a bad one. But this is really all about my mood and energy and I need to find ways to fix it.
I used to have the exact same problem as you, and I find I'm loads better now than I used to be when I was drunk. What I was doing for a while before I stopped getting drunk all together was to get a solid buzz on at the start of the night before heading out- say 4/5 drinks in half an hour, then grab one beer/drink as soon as I got to the bar and the switch to waters/pop for the rest of the night. That'll loosen you up enough that you should have minimal problems opening and socializing and you're already in the zone, or "in state" as the RSD crew likes to say, by the time your alcohol wears off and you won't even notice. If you're anything like me you'll start to notice your best sets come at the end of the night and eventually realize you don't need the alcohol at all. Hope this helps!
